From the city to the desert

We travel south from Marrakesh towards southern Morocco and the desert. Several days in the field, with local guides, walking and camping.

Arrival in Marrakesh, followed by a longer road journey through southern Morocco and Zagora towards the desert.

Local guides accompany the desert section. Walking and camping shape the programme; the route and pace adapt to local conditions.

Back to Marrakesh

After the desert section, we return to settlements and then Marrakesh. The return flight departs on 21 November; accommodation for the night of 20–21 November costs extra.

The programme runs from 14–20 November, with return travel on 21 November. We will discuss the detailed route and any changes before departure.

A 7-day / 6-night programme. The travel agreement sent after our personal discussion lists the services in detail.

Special costs

Accommodation for the night of 20–21 November. A riding camel is an optional service at an agreed additional cost; indicating interest does not order a paid service.

Final / additional night

Accommodation for the night of 20–21 November costs extra and is not included in the 1085 € fee. Each participant arranges and pays for it according to their return, extension or onward-travel plans.

Programme and conditions

The return flight departs on 21 November. Weather or local conditions may change the itinerary; the travel agreement governs how significant changes are handled.

Payment and cancellation

7. Payment, cancellation and refund terms a) A deposit of 30% of the participation fee, 325,50 EUR per person, is due when booking. The application becomes final when the deposit is paid. b) Full payment is due no later than three calendar months before departure, by 2026-08-14. The balance after the deposit is 759,50 EUR per person. c) Cancellations must be made in writing; the date received by the organiser applies. Before 2026-09-14, the 30% deposit is non-refundable and any amount paid above it is refunded. From 2026-09-14 until the day before 2026-10-14, 50% of the total participation fee, 542,50 EUR per person, is refunded. From 2026-10-14, during the final calendar month before departure, no part of the participation fee is refunded. The deposit forms part of the participation fee and is not deducted again from the 50% refund. d) The group has a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 participants. If the minimum 5 is not reached, or the organiser cannot provide the agreed arrangements and cancels the trip, all amounts paid by the participant are refunded. e) A participant may transfer their place to another person if that person meets the participation requirements and suppliers can accommodate the name change. Actual name-change or amendment costs are payable by the participant. f) In force majeure or local circumstances preventing safe completion of the programme, the organiser informs the participant without delay. International flight and individual insurance costs are governed by the airline’s and insurer’s terms respectively. g) Purchase flights only after the organiser confirms in writing that the departure will go ahead.
