Kyrgyzstan · 7 days on horseback + 5 days of culture and nature
Twelve days in Kyrgyzstan: seven days on horseback in the Tian Shan mountains and five days of culture and nature. Each rider has a horse for the riding section, accompanied by a local riding guide and assistant, mostly above 3000 metres. We stay in yurts with nomadic families, then continue around Bishkek and Bokonbaevo. Henrik accompanies the trip as a Hungarian-speaking coordinator and professional photographer. Group size: minimum 5, maximum 10.

Itinerary, price and additional costs
- Included in the price
- A 12-day horse-riding, cultural and nature programme. A seven-day high-altitude horse-riding expedition, with a horse assigned to each rider for the entire riding section. Local riding guide and assistant. Yurt accommodation with nomadic families, generally with 3–4 people sharing. Twin-share city accommodation in Bishkek and the Bokonbaevo area. Full board. Local transfers and transport associated with the programme. Meeting an eagle hunter and visiting a yurt-making workshop. Cultural and nature activities. Professional photographic accompaniment, documentation of the trip and opportunities for riding and environmental portraits. Coordination and accompaniment in Hungarian.
- Special costs
- International flights. Travel insurance. Personal purchases and individual spending outside the programme. Separately requested services. Insurance must provide suitable cover for horse riding and high-altitude activities. Henrik helps choose flights that match the group’s arrival and departure.
- Programme and conditions
- 16 July: arrival in Bishkek, airport transfer, accommodation and rest; a city walk and practical preparations depending on arrival time. 17 July: Bishkek, Ala-Too Square and the State History Museum, markets, local food and preparations for the riding section. 18 July: transfer to the riding expedition’s starting point, meeting the local team and getting to know the horses. 19–25 July: seven consecutive days on horseback in the Tian Shan mountains, mostly above 3000 metres; pastures, valleys, passes and mountain trails. Overnight stays with local nomadic families. 26 July: Bokonbaevo area, an eagle hunter and yurt-making workshop, with opportunities for environmental portraits. 27 July: departure and airport transfer timed to flights. You do not need to be a professional rider, but several hours in the saddle for seven consecutive days can be demanding. This should not be your first time riding. With limited experience, riding lessons and, where possible, outdoor riding practice are recommended before departure. Follow the local riding guide’s instructions. Yurts and washing facilities are simple, generally with 3–4 people sharing. City accommodation is for two people per room. Layers and a waterproof outer layer are required; a detailed equipment list follows separately. Weather, terrain, horses and the group’s condition determine each day’s distance, pace and route. Exact logistics and final locations follow once confirmed with the local partner.
